Sabang Sail 2017 Ready to be Held on the End of this Year



"Sabang Sail 2017" will be held in Sabang (Pulau Weh), Aceh on November 28th - December 5th, 2017. The event is prepared to enliven the Sail Sabang 2017 event.
"The Sabang Sail theme is' Sabang to the World Maritime Tourism Destination '', said Deputy of Human Resources, Maritime Technology and Maritime Science Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Safri Burhanuddin after Coordination Meeting (Rakor) Sail Sabang 2017 in Jakarta, Wednesday 29/3/2017).
Safri said that Sail Sabang 2017 event will focus on tourism development. He also mentioned Sail Sabang will be filled with different events with the holding of similar events in different places.
"(On Sail Sabang) Our flying pass is from the Malaysian and Singapore acrobatic plane.There is a different diving race, so it's not just a sailing pass," he explained.
Deputy of Tourism Destination and Tourism Development of the Ministry of Tourism, Dadang Rizky Ratman appreciated the synergy between cross-ministries and local government. Sabang Sail event 2017, he continued, is part of the development of marine tourism.


"(Sail Sabang) is interpreted from the marketing side, this is a festival, we will move to promote Sail Sabang," said Dadang.
At the opening ceremony of Sail Sabang 2017 will feature the colossal dance of Admiral Malahayati; Toll ship parade (paying the KRI Bima Suci from Spain and inviting tall ship or high-screen ships from countries passed by such as India, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore); Followed by Pemuda Nusantara Ships, research vessels Baruna Jaya IV and Baruna Jaya VIII, convoys of 100 yacht vessels participants Sail Sabang 2017 from Langkawi, Phuket, Singapore, Australia, Europe, and a parade of traditional fishing boats.


In addition, there will also be a number of activities as supporting events such as Jamboree of Science and Technology, International Freediving Competition, Sabang Underwater Contest, Sabang Carnival, Pemuda Nusantara, Aceh Culinary and Coffee Festival, Sabang Wonderful Expo and Marine Expo, Sales Mission Cruise Operator and Yacht , Also Seminar on Marine Tourism.

Other less interesting activities include the Indonesian Pesona Pesona, fishing contests, video contests and photos through drones, Welcome Dinner, Banda Aceh City Tour, and social service and clean beaches.

Microsoft makes major settlement with Australian Taxation Office

MICROSOFT has reached an undisclosed settlement with the Australian Taxation Office believed to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Earlier this year,  The Daily Telegraph reported the ATO had hit seven publicly listed companies with tax bills of between $250 million and $800 million after extensive audit processes. It’s understood  Microsoft, Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, Apple and Google  were among the companies targeted to recoup almost $3 billion in tax believed to be owed by multinationals. Microsoft officially reached an agreement with the tax office this morning which ended the audit process,  Microsoft’s Corporate  Vice President of Worldwide Tax Daniel Goff told an Australian senate inquiry into corporate tax avoidance today.
